LUV SHOPPING: ALMOST ALL UNITS ARE LEASED
13 - 12 - 17
NEW LEASEHOLDERS FOR SPORTS EQUIPMENT, PET SUPPLIES, HANDICRAFTS
From the outside, IKEA Lübeck and the "LUV SHOPPING" shopping centre are almost finished, and the pressure is now on interior finishing for the next few months: interior decoration in the furniture showroom and market hall is in full swing in the IKEA furniture shop. In the LUV SHOPPING centre, too, finishing works inside the 50 shops are being carried out alongside work on the facades. Six more new leaseholders will move in shortly: these are sporting goods retailer INTERSPORT Voswinkel, specialist pet supplies retailer Fressnapf, Sonnenklar TV travel agents, Idee Creativmarkt (handicrafts shop), ROFRA Home (a furniture and accessories seller from the Netherlands) and the Nordsee restaurant.
Two openings next spring
IKEA Lübeck will open on 14 March 2014 and the shopping centre will follow a few weeks later. "We will be able to give a concrete date in January", says Rainer Bastians, managing director for the Inter IKEA Centre Deutschland. "We need slightly more time than IKEA since our interior finishing is considerable more complex for the individual leaseholders, so we will celebrate our opening separately." IKEA and the Inter IKEA Centre Deutschland are investing 120 million Euros in this location and are creating about 400 new jobs.
More than 90% of the units in the shopping centre are currently leased, including all of the restaurant units. The total size of the shopping centre is 24,500 m², the DIY superstore covers 10,000 m² as a stand-alone unit and IKEA covers 25,500 m².
As previously announced, baby superstore Baby One, C&A, Depot, Edeka, Spielemax, Hornbach, Saturn and Görtz will also be leaseholders in the shopping centre, alongside JalouCity, Vino, "Oetinger Kinderladen" as part of the Oetinger publishing group in Hamburg, a Tchibo discount store, an Asia Fuloi restaurant (LebQ) and an E-Plus phone store. Two Danish leaseholders in "Stoff & Stil" and ECCO are also moving in. In addition, there will be retailers who already have branches particularly in the Hamburg area: Leder Freytag, Stadtbäckerei Junge, Lübeck marzipan specialists Neideregger as well as Jebe hairdressing and hairdressing supplies. The Christian Beutin fashion store (IN CB) and Schuback perfumery come directly from Lübeck and along with T-Shirt-Total from Stockelsdorf. Alongside the Meineke family, operators of the Edeka market in Bad Schwartau, the Klindwort pharmacy, "akquasia fischspa" for pedicures and Worm cleaning will represent Bad Schwartau as local leaseholders in the LUV SHOPPING centre.
Villeroy & Boch will present a new showroom and shop concept for the bathroom & wellness, tableware and tiling product sectors in "House of Living". Visitors can seek advice on bathroom redesign and renovation in the lavish bathroom and wellness showroom. The existing V&B factory outlet will remain until the opening of the LUV SHOPPING centre in spring 2014.
